A new company take-over from Farplas Group: ÖNCÜ
Farplas Group, which had been established in 1968 as an automotive spare-parts sales company becoming one of the very important companies of Turkish Industry with its high performance and fast growth of years, has took over Öncü, market leader in its own field.
Serving Turkish and European Automotive industry since 1980 by producing various PUR systems (Semi-Rigid, Hard-system, RIM) with every kind of cockpit and cockpit accessories (Dashboard and accessories), interior and exterior trims from ABS,PS, front grills and various extrusion lamination products, ÖNCÜ DAYANIKLI TÜKETIM MALLARI SANAYI A.S, still performs its activities in 33.000 m2 area in GOSB with 260 employees.
Thus with this take-over, Farplas has further developed its interior trim systems network which had first started with Farhym, gaining the capability to serve its customers through the whole design and production processes of systems from the roof to floor, including lightings, glowboxes and accessories
Through ÖNCÜ’s take-over, Farplas Group has reached 1300 employees and 6 plants.

DEFESS Project
Bogaziçi University Mechanical Engineering Department and Farplas Oto Yedek Parçalari Im. Ith. ve Ihr. A.S.,has attended to DeFESS training Project which is represented by Yrd. Doç. Dr. Nuri Ersoy from B.U and Environmental engineer Berna Yavuz from Farplas Group. The purpose of DeFESS (Design for Environmental Skills for Suppliers) Project is to harmonize the Small and Medium Size Enterprises’ workers to the new environmental legislation in technological industries. For the beginning DeFESS project, will start to work with the automotive industry and after it will cover the electronic and air industries. DeFESS project, will develop a training package supported by a computer programme which will be tried in Farplas for the first time. Beta version of this programme will be ready in 2007. In Turkey Bogaziçi University will be authorized to give the training. This training programme will contribute to the harmonization of European Union environmental legislation. It will be useful for both main industries and the suppliers in Turkey .

FARDIZAYN started its operations in GOSB Teknopark :
‘Your partner in engineering’
Fardizayn is established in 2005 as a spin-off from the Farplas Group. The Farplas Group of companies, which operate in designing and manufacturing systems and components for passenger, commercial vehicle and white goods industry was one of the first companies to recognize the need for advance design&development capabilities to gain competitive advantage in their respective industries and identify the growing trend towards the outsourcing of development services to external partners.
As a result ,Fardizayn was created to provide a rich menu of design and engineering services, not only to Farplas Group companies and its clients, but also to other industrial manufacturers.
Currently, Fardizayn is able to offer to its clients a wide range of services ranging from renting an engineer on an hourly basis to total concept and product development; from Project management to manufaturing the product.
The company has 30 employees and operates from its site in Gebze Teknopark, which is in the heart of the Turkish Automotive Industry.

In Annual Meeting of Gebze Sanayi ve Isadamlari Dernegi (GESIAD), Farplas has been
awarded with the Certificate of Achievement for the year of 2004.
With former awards, this achievement award means to demonstrate Farplas
modern production & administration concept which based on optimal our policies in
production, human resources and quality as a whole. As a matter; Farplas recognizes

Another Foreign Investment Partnership from Farplas Group
An Agreement was signed with MAHLE, a world giant in automotive subsidiary industry, for MAHLE FARPLAS Filtre Sistemleri A.S Partnership.
Farplas, one of the leading manufacturers of the Turkish Automotive
Industry and Mahle Gmbh, a world leader in the production and development of valves,
pistons, filters and engine components, founded Mahle Farplas Filtre sistemleri As with
a Joint Venture Agreement. Partnership ratios were 60 percent Mahle and 40 percent
Farplas. Production location of Mahle Farplas Filtre sistemleri was determined Gebze
Organized Industry Zone and the company will provide a wide range of products such as
air-oil filters, modules and systems to leading OEM companies of the automotive industry.
Mahle Farplas will concentrate on air filtering systems in the first stage and will
transfer its advanced engineering and production mentality to oil filters and systems
in the second stage.

In 31. General Meeting of Turkish Automotive Manufacturers Association (OSD), Farplas has been awarded with the Certificate of Achievement for the year of 2004.
This award demonstrates Farplas efficient production mechanisms which
create a business value in quality and project management edges. Farplas applies
modern production techniques in utilizing information and experience for supply
chain management which have made possible substantial improvements in product
quality. All of these modern production practices provide Farplas to sustain
optimal and competitive price performance in the market. As a matter, Farplas
has been honored by the Board of Turkish Automotive Manufacturers with Certificate
of Achievement due to its performance in quality, supply reliability, co-operation
to develop the technology and adequate pricing in 2004.

Farplas presents Painting and Sculpture Gallery in GOSB Center: Modern Turkish Art in the Heart of Manufacturing
Farplas displays selected major art works from Yunus Büyükkusoglu’s collection in GOSB Center.
Farplas Modern Turkish Art collection comprising of 50 works from dating of first half of 20 century to
the present has harmonized manufacturing with style and culture in Gebze Industrial Zone Gallery.
This Farplas Gallery displays works from 1940 to 2004, beginning with such pioneers of Turkish Modern
Art as Ibrahim Balaban and continuing with masterworks by Mustafa Ata, Sadan Bezeyis, Bedri Baykam,
Ömer Uluç and Devrim Erbil etc. All of these works which carry characteristics from postmodern to
pop and op art symbolize Farplas cultural and social responsibility as integral part of Farplas
business operations and strategies.

Farplas TAYSAD Administrative Units started to operate by 1, February, 2005
TAYSAD Plant whose construction base started in 2003, June owns modern administrative units
in addition to efficient production capacity with new technologies in production base.
With its full completed administrative and production units, Farplas Taysad plant welcomes
its customers and employee by 1 February 2005. TAYSAD Plant is aimed to present wide range
of products in passenger vehicle segment and by this way maintains the production of interior
trims and plastics parts. Administrative Building with its modern working offices, conference
and exhibition centers provides a mutual integration between Farplas plants, Taysad, Avcilar and Gosb. |
